Hole to Pad ratios
Where D is the diameter of the land and d is the diameter of the hole.
D-d= 40 thou minimum for unplated holes
D-d= 20 thou minimum for plated holes
Alternatively the following ration can be used.
- D/d= 2.5 to 3.0 for unplated holes on phenolic paper boards
- D/d= 2.5 to 3.0 for unplated holes of glass epoxy boards
- D/d= 1.5 to 2.0 for plated through holes
